The background
CREATION.co provides insights and consulting to inform health strategy, communications, and policymaking among some of the world’s largest healthcare companies and government organisations.
As demand for their award-winning offering has grown, so has their team across leadership roles and a significant graduate intake.
Through conversations with the CEO, Daniel Ghinn, we understood the need to help Daniel’s fast-growing team fully embody the CREATION.co values and achieve their strategic business goals.
The challenge
Daniel knew his team was made up of high-achieving and driven individuals, but he wanted to tap into that potential, while avoiding the dangers of stress and burnout, and without losing sight of their goals.
We undertook an initial investigation, using our Unstoppable Team Diagnostic, to really get alongside the team on the ground and we followed this with one-on-ones across the senior leadership team to see whether their values aligned.
The outcome
Responding to the data from the Diagnostic; we worked with Daniel to develop a program for CREATION.co which would help team members connect day-to-day work to the company purpose, solidify their values and express their mission. When everyone is clear on their contribution towards company purpose there is a cultural shift that changes everything, from overarching strategies to day-to-day habits.
We used group and one- to- one high performance coaching with the Senior Leadership team to help them respond to the recommendations of the Thriving Teams indicator. We helped devise a workshop in which a cross-functional team were asked to come together and articulate the three values which defined them as an organisation. The values they named - love, service and excellence - were key to creating a sense of excitement and unity about the work they were doing. It also succeeded in giving individuals a framework to have robust and challenging conversations while avoiding discomfort or distrust.
The future
CREATION.co has worked with almost all of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies and are proud that many of them remain existing clients today.
Our work with them on vision and values, has allowed them to communicate this externally for brand impact on a new website and client communications. They have moved into a new office and are considering a second office within the next year, where the whole team has contributed to how the space feels and is used.
They have brought on new team members easily - both across senior board positions and junior roles; and shortly they will embark on their largest ever 12-month graduate training programme. We have seen how they work together, and we know that they are confident that as the team grows, their values will remain strong. The possibilities are limitless for this innovative and driven company.
